Health services for migrants.

Health services are universally accessible according to article 49 of the Political Constitution of Colombia . Migrants have free access to preventive and emergency health services.

For medical attention related to the coronavirus, the national hotline 018000955590 has been made available to everyone, from a cell phone to 192. To see the hotlines by city, visit: https://www.minsalud.gov.co/salud /publica/PET/Documents/coronavirus-telephones.pdf

The care route for migrants of Venezuelan nationality with possible contagion or infected with Covid-19 is exactly the same as that of any Colombian citizen.

If the person is insured: you should contact your EPS Health Provider Entity.

If the migrant is not insured:

  • If the person has a Special Residence Permit - PEP, they will be immediately affiliated with an EPS, and will be cared for through the EPS.
  • If the person does not have PEP, they will be treated through the emergency route for any uninsured foreign person who is in our country.
  • It must be submitted to the public network for the provision of municipal services, coordinated under the departmental health secretary.
  • The case will be treated as an emergency and the health care service will be provided free of charge.

National Vaccination Plan considers the inhabitants of the national territory including foreigners accredited in diplomatic or consular missions in Colombia, 16 years of age and older, excluding pregnant women.
