There are mandatory documents to enter continental and insular Ecuador by air.
To enter continental Ecuador through air borders, it is necessary to present:
1. Any person traveling over 16 years of age:
• vaccination card against COVID-19 with at least 14 days validity after completing the scheme and
• negative real-time RT-PCR qualitative test result performed up to 72 hours prior to shipment.
1. For children between 2 and 16 years old:
• must present the negative result of an antigen test or the negative result of a qualitative real-time RT-PCR test carried out up to 72 hours prior to shipment.
Important:
Ecuadorian passengers who were declared INADMITTED in other countries and who return to Ecuador, must not present a qualitative RT-PCR test, however, the Ministry of Public Health will carry out a rapid antigen test upon arrival in the country.
To enter insular Ecuador (Galapagos province) through air borders, it is necessary to present:
Foreign tourists, national tourists and/or residents in Galapagos:
1. To those over 16 years of age:
• vaccination card against COVID-19 with at least 14 days validity after completing the scheme and
• negative real-time RT-PCR qualitative test result performed up to 72 hours prior to shipment.
2. For children between 2 and 16 years old:
• must present the negative result of an antigen test or the negative result of a qualitative real-time RT-PCR test carried out up to 72 hours prior to shipment.
Additional:
For the entry of national or foreign tourists, the transit control card issued by the Galapagos Special Regime Government Council will be requested, eliminating the safe-conduct managed by a tour operator or by an accommodation regulated by the Ministry of Tourism.
National tourists: COVID-19 detection tests must be carried out in authorized laboratories such as RT-PCR processors, sample collection and rapid COVID-19 tests by the Agency for Quality Assurance of Health Services and Prepaid Medicine - ACESS , available at: http://www.calidadsalud.gob.ec/laboratorios-authorized/.
Foreign tourists: the tests for the detection of COVID-19 must be carried out in the certified laboratories of each country of origin.
Quarantine for people from restricted countries | Air | Nationals / Foreigners and resident foreigners, Foreigners
It is necessary to complete forty, according to the country of transit or previous stay.
Citizens and permanent legal residents in Ecuador who were in stopover or transit through South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Eswatini, Mozambique, Egypt must:
• have a negative result of a qualitative real-time RT-PCR test carried out up to 72 hours prior to shipment to Ecuador; when entering the country and
• serve a 14-day quarantine regardless of your vaccination status.

Traveler's Health Declaration | Air | Nationals / Foreigners and resident foreigners, Foreigners
People who wish to travel to Ecuador must submit the Traveler's Health Declaration form to the airline at the time of boarding.
To enter continental Ecuador through air borders, it is necessary to present:
1. Digital Traveler's Health Declaration when boarding the airline, available online. If it is not available on the platform, it is possible to present the physical form upon arrival at the airline
Cruise travelers | Maritime | Nationals / Foreigners and resident foreigners, Foreigners
There are specific requirements for visitor disembarkation.
Disembarkation documents:
• The Traveler's Health Declaration in digital form prior to shipment to the shipping agents;
• If you have symptoms compatible with COVID-19, you must report it by calling 171 of the Ministry of Public Health for monitoring and management;
• All visitors and crew must have received the COVID-19 vaccine (complete schedule) at the time of boarding.
For visitors entering the country:
1. 16 years of age or older must submit:
• vaccination card against Covid-19 with at least 14 days validity, after completing the scheme, and
• the negative result of a qualitative real-time RT-PCR test performed up to 72 hours prior to shipment at the last port prior to arrival in Ecuador.

Also:
Entry into national territory is prohibited to any person whose point of origin, stopover or transit is: South Africa, Namibia, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Eswatini, Mozambique and Egypt.
