Entry requirements

For nationals and resident foreigners.

1. Affidavit, with place of stay in Bolivian territory

All the personal details, address, among other data, shall be stated and submitted in a physical format (paper) to competent authorities.


2.Certified negative RT-PCR test for people older than 5:
i. Up to 72 hours before boarding in the country of origin, for nationals and foreigners, coming from abroad by plane 
ii. Up to 72 hours before for entries by land/river/lake;


3 • Isolation for 10 days at least after entry.

On the 7th day, another PCR test shall be performed and paid for by passengers; if positive, the corresponding protocol shall be activated. 

The aforementioned  is applicable as long as a suspicious cases does not appear at the point of entry, activating the corresponding protocol.

For non resident foreigners.

The same requirements as for nationals and the following are added:

COVID-19 Medical Insurance  is required to cover treatment expenses.

• Isolation for 10 days at least after entry. On the 7th day, another PCR test shall be performed and paid for by passengers; if positive, the corresponding protocol shall be activated.

Exemption from the minimum isolation period (PCR test on the 7th day in any case):
i. People residing in  border towns, verifying their residence with the address stated on their identity card or border neighbourhood card.
ii. People from diplomatic missions, special missions, international agencies, are exempted from isolation, etc.
iii) Passengers and crew from medical evacuation flights, meeting the PCR testing requirement.
iv) Other exceptions.
