The state of health emergency ceases throughout the national territory and the implementation of preventive actions.
The Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries declared a health emergency throughout the country at a press conference on February 14, 2023 due to the discovery of H5 Avian Influenza in Laguna Garzón, departments of Maldonado and Rocha.
As a consequence of the evaluation of the Public Health Emergency, the health alert was extended until the end of August 2023, through Decree 10 published at the end of March.
There are no restrictions on entering or leaving the country.

State of Exception: Ecuador is not in a state of exception, according to National COE Resolutions - May 20, 2021 . Currently, the national COE has jurisdiction over decisions involving: teleworking, health, road axes on highways and safety, and others. For their part, the cantonal COE have authority over: autonomous commerce, the use of public spaces, crowds, beaches, capacity and nightclubs.
