Public Health Emergency.

As a consequence of the evaluation of the Public Health Emergency, the health alert was extended until the end of August 2023, through Decree 10 published at the end of March.

There are no restrictions on entering or leaving the country.

The only existing restrictions are for people traveling from China, who will be tested if they were there 7 days prior to entering Chile, and must present a negative PCR for SARS-CoV-2 or antigen whose sample collection does not exceed 48 hours prior. at the scheduled boarding time.

Sanitary measures.

Biosecurity measures are regulated according to the phase in which the Region is.

Currently, the country is in the opening phase.

  • Use of a mask: It is mandatory only in health facilities, while its use is recommended for people with symptoms of Covid-19, in passenger transport and in crowds.
  • Vaccination: It will continue to be available for people who are behind and for the population defined as at risk in an annual scheme that will be defined by the National Immunization Program (PNI).
  • Increase random testing for travelers from all countries.

General biosecurity measures:
. At least 1 m distancing.
. Respecting the delimited distancing areas.
. Wearing masks in closed spaces, e.g.: on public passenger transport, in taxis, in lifts, when finishing physical activities, on the street, in stores; they can only be removed when eating  at a restaurant.
. Cleaning and disinfecting objects and surfaces.
. Washing hands frequently.
.Coughing or sneezing  into a tissue or one's flexed elbow.
. Keeping rooms clean and ventilated.
. Avoiding touching one's face, eyes, nose and mouth.
. Not sharing  hygiene or food items.

Movement through communes is limited.

• Phase 1: quarantine, Phase 2: transition, Phase 3: preparation and Phase 4: initial opening.

7. Those who are holders of diplomatic or official passports or are international officials, with authorization from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;

8. Those carriers of safe-conduct, etc.
