The Covid-19 prevention protocols approved and issued by the Outbreak Management Team are the following:

Use of masks: use of mouth and nose coverings in confined spaces, in large indoor gatherings (more than fifty people), and in places where the necessary distance cannot be maintained.

Physical distance: nationals and foreigners must observe the physical distance of 1.5 meters, the so-called COVID-19 distance.

General non-pharmacological measures:

  • respiratory etiquette
  • use of masks (except children under 3 years old)
  • hygiene of hands, personal objects and items sold
  • detachment

In addition, other measures may be adopted by the Brazilian government.

The World Health Organization and its regional office (PAHO) have issued a series of recommendations about the main prevention measures that we must put into practice to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Among them are:

  • Handwashing
  • Social distancing
  • Care for the elderly and people with pre-existing health conditions
  • Cover your face when coughing or sneezing
  • mental health care
  • Child care during quarantine

To address the public health emergency of international concern due to coronavirus, isolation and quarantine measures may be adopted by the Brazilian government, among others.

General Prevention Measures

Decree No. 678/21, which is in force from October 1 to December 31, 2021, establishes mandatory prevention measures for all people and provides specific regulations for activities that represent a greater epidemiological risk.

Biosecurity measures are adopted:

Wearing masks, frequently washing hands, covering one's nose and mouth (with a disposable tissue or flexed elbow) when sneezing or coughing, avoiding close contact, distancing, checking for symptoms (fever, cough and difficulty breathing), seeking medical attention.

"Safe Way to Live" biosecurity measures are adopted.

Use of a mask, especially in closed places; Frequent hand washing, distance of 1.5 meters between people, coughing with the crease of the elbow.

In ventilated rooms, attendees seated, tables 1.5 meters apart and capacity.

General biosecurity measures:
. At least 1 m distancing.
. Respecting the delimited distancing areas.
. Wearing masks in closed spaces, e.g.: on public passenger transport, in taxis, in lifts, when finishing physical activities, on the street, in stores; they can only be removed when eating  at a restaurant.
. Cleaning and disinfecting objects and surfaces.
. Washing hands frequently.
.Coughing or sneezing  into a tissue or one's flexed elbow.
. Keeping rooms clean and ventilated.
